February is here and we are excited to bring Riverglades families together for this month's events. We know February is short but we promise to deliver a bunch of smiles and good times.

Join our monthly PTA Meeting February 1 at 9:15am in the teacher’s lounge. The PTA continues to be busy with more fun-filled activities planned for the month and remainder of the year. It’s always a good time to get involved—we love your support.

On February 14, it’s Riverglades PTA’s annual show of heart-filled appreciation for our staff—Riverglades Staff Valentine’s Treat Day. Nothing is sweeter than showing our Riverglades staff a little love (and giving some goodies too) and how much they mean to us. We all know they make our world sweeter each day.

So, you think you’re as smart as a kindergartner, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th or 5th grader? In February (date TBD), at the Parkland Commons Publix (on the corner of University Drive and Trails End) it’s time to get your math brain in gear. The annual Family Math Night is on. This popular event is returning for all you Riverglades families and students to participate in shopping for fun and learning at your local merchant. Kids love it and parents do too. It’s a fantastic way to apply the skills they have learned in the real world.

And of course, the Carnival is coming to Parkland. Get ready for the Adventure Island Riverglades Carnival, Saturday, March 3, from 12–4pm. The carnival will feature new rides and attractions, including Bumper Cars, a Pirate Ship, Go Gator Roller Coaster (hang on…), Boogie Bodies and much more. Enjoy the day with lots of delicious carnival food, arts and crafts, and the fabulous Riverglades Classroom Basket Raffles. Be ready to have a blast.
