Coral Park has started off the 2012 year with great learning opportunities and adventures. This month CPE asks its parents to attend the monthly PTA meeting February 1 at 2pm. Please join the PTA board in discussing events and fundraising opportunities for the community. On the following Wednesday, February 8, the SAC/SAF will hold its monthly meeting at 2:15pm. Parents are encouraged to attend these meeting for an opportunity to learn about curriculum, safety issues and strategies being used to further increase the success of our students.

Please remember to send in books with your children every day. They are being encouraged to read while waiting to get into their classrooms each morning. Your participation in this project demonstrates how much you care about your child’s reading progress and we thank you for your support.

We have a wonderful PTA sponsored Valentine’s event Friday night, February 10. Please stay tuned for more details and we hope to see you all.

Our honor roll assembly will take place Friday morning, February 17. This event honors all third through fifth grade students who either achieved all A’s, A’s and B’s or who have brought up their grades from last quarter.

FCAT Writes are at the end of the month for fourth grade students. Encourage your children to eat a good breakfast, get a good night’s sleep and to try their best. We know how much your children have been preparing for this week and if you follow the above formula, they will do just fine.

We encourage parents to volunteer in any way possible. Even if you can’t come into the school, there are always opportunities to help. Please call or email the PTA to discuss how you can help continue to make CPE great. For any questions or concerns call CPE at 754.322.5850.
