Now that we have settled into the second half of the school year, our PTA has sponsored Muffins with Mom, a Samaritans event for the benefit of the Florence Fuller community and the annual Walk-A-Thon with Go Take a Hike. Upcoming events at SPE include the Family Fun Day at South County Park on March 3, bingo and the ever popular FCAT Writes for the 4th grade.

Since the Family Fun Day in the park is our maiden attempt at bringing an exciting new event to SPE, we encourage all to attend to help shape this event into a potential “regular” event that we all look forward to. What a great opportunity it will be to spend some quality time with our families and friends as well as promote physical fitness and possibly take the opportunity to donate blood. But not to worry, for those of you who enjoy your sinful treats or occasional indulgences, there will be something for you too.

Our PTA is in full swing and we encourage the entire SPE community to get involved on whatever level you are able. The beneficiaries are all of the students! Let’s keep working together to “Give Rise to Tomorrow’s Leaders.”
