Blast from the Past
Hi Greg,
My name is Dick Cully, I’ve lived in Boca since 1978 and you may or may not remember me from those disco days clubbing in Ft. Lauderdale many years ago. You were the “Man” at the time on the air waves, I was working on a dream.
I’m surprised and happy to discover you again and I did because I happened to pick up a BocaDelray Life magazine. I enjoyed your words and sentiment and that is one of the reasons why I have chosen to write to you. www.helpusrebootamerica.com is a domain and website that I am developing. I have a non-profit, The International Big Band Jazz Café Society and have developed a methodology that; Preserves an American Art Form, Creates jobs that can help stimulate the economy, Benefits education.
I documented this last May 27th at Olympic Heights, High School, the website has some clips of my bands performance that evening and I’m trying to take this to the White House. I’m exploring every opportunity and searching for individuals who can help spread the word.
There is so much more to talk about, but I am hoping that you might have some ideas and would take an interest in an innovative way to teach kids American History with a big band and facts and fun trivia.
I’d love to talk to you, perhaps even a bite or something if you are in South Florida.
All my best to you Greg.
Musically yours,
Dick Cully
Boca Raton
We passed this on to Greg but also thought we’d share it--MFR.
