
Gardenfest is in Bloom in Coral Springs
– Feb. 18 & 19

Enjoy a wonderful weekend with gorgeous orchids, bromeliads, plumerias, vegetables, herbs, palms, trees, pottery, garden art and much more at Gardenfest, Coral Springs’ 5th Annual Garden Show on February 18 and 19. Gardenfest highlights the important contributions gardens and plants make in our daily lives and the connections they foster in our communities and to the world at large. Come check out the selection and add more plants to your home interior and gardens. You’ll also have the opportunity to consult with Master Gardeners at the “Plant Clinic. Bring the entire family as Growing Future Gardeners will feature Florida-grown plant material filled with unique activities for children and adults alike. Children can make a craft at the Youth Activities and Kids in the Garden Tents. And come hungry because there will be a food court with delicious food vendors including The Crepe Maker and Crackerman, Jamba Juice and, returning again this year will be the popular Gourmet Food Trucks!
And be sure to bring in your homegrown broccoli, beans, cabbage, corn, cucumber, eggplant, melon (cantaloupe, watermelon), onion, peppers, squash, tomato, zucchini or tallest Sunflower to the Farmers’ Market Tent to be entered in the Homegrown Vegetable Contest. There are three categories: Backyard Gardens, School Gardens and Community Gardens. Vegetables will be weighed and measured and entered into the contest (you do not need to leave your vegetable). Winners will be announced on Feb. 20 at 3pm and you do not need to be present at that time to win. There’ll be gift certificates from local businesses as prizes.
Gardenfest hours are 9am-5pm on the 18th and 10am-4pm on the 19th. Parking and admission are free. The event is rain or shine so come out to Riverside Park at 205 Coral Ridge Dr., Coral Springs.
