RESTAURANT REVIEW
Japango (cont.)
the hardest part is deciding between trying something new or having what you fell in love with again. Landlubbers will find three outrageous steaks, chicken dishes and his new vegan rolls section.
Sushi lovers however, arrived at the Pearly Gates — this is where Japango rises above. The only place you can find Sushi fresher is if you pillage your fish tank. And here, it looks as sensual as it tastes.
Five pages of Sushi, rolls, appetizers, soups, outrageous salads and entrees demonstate the talent of this Chef and his staff nightly. Do try his Japango Signature Fried Rice ($14). Packed with shrimp, beef and chicken it has a smoky essence making it so memorable. And his Pad Thai can come any way you’d like it. At ($14) it rivals the finest Thai restaurant. Add in the cool drinks, uber-sensual atmosphere and “Life” is good.
End the meal with the tempura TWINKIE platter topped with green tea ice cream if you dare!
While food is surely the superstar here, the value of such quality is a real bargain. What’s amazing, is that with such accolades and success, Kevin Lee is as kind, as genuine and as talented as the day I met him. If anything has changed, it’s the place IS one of South Florida’s finest spots and Lee’s abilities are even richer.
Whether you stop by for just a drink and a roll, or a full meal shared with good friends, you won’t leave regretting anything.
