tail, huge scallops, shrimp, beautiful squid and vegetables in a nut-colored sauce that was a perfect accompaniment to the shellfish but never overshadowed it. Served with jasmine rice, the flavors enhanced as the rice soaked in the sauce.

Her curries (and there are many) are all homemade and have people who followed her for it, coming here at least once a week. Her hand-chopped Wahoo Salad ($8.95) was unreal!! What does a Jewish girl know from Wahoo? This crunchy, slightly sweet taste sensation had me screaming WAHOO!! WAHOO!! like a Miami Dolphin cheerleader when the team really had a chance. “Tempura flakes,” said Anny. “That’s the secret to the crunch. She dotes on each table as though you were dining at her home. Making sure everything is to your liking; if you want to talk, she chats, and her personality is scintillating. If you prefer a quiet evening with your significant one, the service is excellent.

A pretty place, the menu reflects a lovely little (well-priced) wine, sake and beer selection, and food choices and preparations by a chef who knows how to please people and still cares to. Lunch here is a deal—a real steal of a deal. From 11-3pm 21 excellent selections (from $7.50-9.95) come with fried rice AND a spring roll. There’s Sushi lunches with soup or salad. Both dinner and lunch boast a host of rolls, sushi, the freshest sashimi, soups, salads, and lots of a la carte selections. Her dinner entrees are extraordinary, many her own combinations. The presentation and care in each dish is evident from the get-go.

Single now, doing anything alone is difficult these days, running a restaurant even more so. Anny and her award-winning personality and talent, just ramps up to the challenge. Her legion of devoted “regulars” grow daily, and so do her singular accomplishments among them a very recent and very coveted 3 ½ star Sun-Sentinel rating by the esteemed Judith Stocks.
